Application:

The main uses of dicyandiamide are: (1) as raw materials of guanidine salt and melamine. Various guanidine salts can be produced by the reaction of dicyandiamide with acid. The phenylmelamine obtained by the reaction of dicyandiamide and phenylnitrile is the intermediate of coating, laminate and forming powder. (2) As a dye fixing agent, dicyandiamide resin prepared by reaction of dicyandiamide with formaldehyde can be used as a dye fixing agent. (3) The activity of nitrifying bacteria can be controlled by dicyandiamide fertilizer and dicyandiamide compound fertilizer, so that the transformation rate of nitrogen fertilizer in soil can be regulated, the loss of nitrogen can be reduced, and the use efficiency of fertilizer can be improved. (4) As an intermediate of fine chemical industry. In medicine, it is used to prepare guanidine nitrate, sulfonamides, thiourea, cellulose nitrate stabilizer, rubber vulcanization accelerator, steel surface hardener, artificial leather filler, adhesives and so on. 5-azacytidine, a pharmaceutical intermediate, can be obtained by the reaction of dicyandiamide with formic acid.
