In May, the added value of the chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing industry increased by 5.9% year-on-year

The National Bureau of Statistics released data on June 16, showing that in May, the added value of industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 5.8% year-on-year. Among them, the petroleum and natural gas extraction industry increased by 5.3% year-on-year. The chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing industry increased by 5.9% year-on-year.

From January to May, the added value of industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 6.3% year-on-year. Among them, the petroleum and natural gas extraction industry increased by 3.7% year-on-year. The chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing industry increased by 8.3% year-on-year.

In terms of the three major categories, in May, the added value of the mining industry increased by 5.7% year-on-year, the manufacturing industry increased by 6.2%, and the electricity, heat, gas and water production and supply industry increased by 2.2%.

In terms of economic types, in May, the added value of state holding enterprises increased by 3.8% year-on-year. Joint-stock enterprises increased by 6.3%. Foreign-invested and enterprises

invested by Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan increased by 3.9%, and private enterprises increased by 5.9%.

In terms of industry, in May, the added value of 35 out of 41 major industries maintained year-on-year growth. Among them, coal mining and washing industry grew by 5.5%, oil and gas mining industry grew by 5.3%, agricultural and sideline food processing industry grew by 7.6%, wine, beverage and refined tea manufacturing industry grew by 4.1%, textile industry grew by 0.6%, chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing industry grew by 5.9%, non-metallic mineral products industry fell by 0.6%, ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry grew by 4.8%, non-ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry grew by 8.1%, general equipment manufacturing industry grew by 6.3%, special equipment manufacturing industry grew by 2.3%, automobile manufacturing industry grew by 11.6%, railway, ship, aerospace and other transportation equipment manufacturing industry grew by 14.6%, electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing industry grew by 11.0%, computer, communication and other electronic equipment manufacturing industry grew by 10.2%, electricity, heat production and supply industry grew by 2.0%.

In terms of product, in May, the output of 326 out of 623 products of industrial enterprises above designated size increased year-on-year. Among them, steel products were 127.43 million tons, up 3.4% year-on-year, cement was 165 million tons, down 8.1%, ten kinds of nonferrous metals were 6.83 million tons, up 2.9%, ethylene was 3.03 million tons, up 14.4%, automobiles were 2.642 million, up 11.3%, of which new energy vehicles were 1.245 million, up 31.7%, power generation was 737.8 billion kWh, up 0.5%, crude oil processing was 59.11 million tons, down 1.8%.

In May, the product sales rate of industrial enterprises above designated size was 95.9%, down 0.8 percentage points year-on-year, the export delivery value of industrial enterprises above designated size was 1,268.2 billion yuan, a nominal increase of 0.6% year-on-year.
